Release 0.8: From Case Management to Intelligent Process Management

With Version 0.8, we bridge the gap between classic case management and modern workflow automation. This delivers true intelligent process management. We prove that high IT security does not have to be rigid, nor do complex processes have to be complicated.

The core of this update is the UX Redesign. With optimized navigation and a modernized login (incl. SSO), Herupu feels as simple as a consumer app. This ensures maximum acceptance in professional environments. Furthermore, we strengthen the “DNA” of your cases: Thanks to new dynamic forms (including QuickJS & multi-column layouts), you can flexibly map the requirements of digital transformation without sacrificing usability. Finally, we round off the release with encrypted data storage (GDPR) and seamless scheduling via iCal integration.”

Highlights #

  1. New Login Experience & Navigation Design
    We modernized the user interface! The new, collapsible sidebar creates more space on the screen. Additionally, a completely redesigned login screen with improved SSO support welcomes you.
  2. Multi-Column Layouts & Advanced Logic
    Introduction of 2- and 3-column layouts for desktop views. Features include an integrated barcode/QR code scanner and QuickJS sandbox for complex calculations within forms.
  3. Calendar Upgrades
    Discover the new month view and ability to subscribe to calendar boards via iCal (Outlook/Google). We also simplified appointment rescheduling.

  • Enhanced Data Security
    The system now encrypts sensitive personal data in the database. Additionally, Herupu stores the refresh token securely in cookies to better protect against attacks.
  • New Resource Type: Bank/Account
    Enables the management of budgets, deposits, and withdrawals directly within forms.
  • Optimized Email History
    Herupu now transparently stores all system emails sent from a case in the case history.
  • Workflow Improvements
    Copy case links faster, assign impersonated cases directly, and define custom texts for duplicate requests.
  • Compliance: Terms of Service
    In addition to Imprint and Privacy Policy, a dedicated page for Terms of Service (ToS) can now be managed.
  • Print View & PDF
    We optimized the print view for documents to ensure better hierarchy and readability.
  • Performance & Stability
    Faster loading of boards/activities and various bug fixes (e.g., iOS navigation, form cloning, optional sections).
  • Appointment Rescheduling
    Agents can now easily reschedule appointments. The booking status resets automatically to “reserved,” and the system notifies the requester via email.
  • Deadline Highlighting
    Configure date fields as “Deadlines.” Herupu visually highlights upcoming (orange) or overdue (red) dates to increase urgency.
  • Custom Email Branding
    Superadmins can now define a global HTML wrapper (header/footer). This ensures consistent Corporate Identity across all system emails.
  • RichText Image Support
    Support The text editor now supports direct embedding of images, allowing for more expressive documentation and text input.
  • Smart User Data Linking
    Form fields can now be directly linked to custom user attributes (e.g., Department, Personnel Number). This allows for automatic pre-filling of data.
  • Form Staging & Preview
    Admins can now test new form versions in a dedicated “Staging Mode”. This is done without affecting live statistics, quotas, or active workflows.
